I know it has been months since our last blog, and I do apologize for that. We were so busy during the holidays that I could never find the time to come up with some decent content. Now that the holidays are over, I should have some more free time to produce some good blogs. :)
To start however, I've been working on the website for my dads construction business which you can view at MHallCo.com - It's currently under construction, but it will eventually be place for us to share our knowledge of the construction field. My dad has been working in construction for the past 30+ years and I have been working with him for the past 15+ years. Together we are going to post occasional DIY blogs for a wide variety of things so be sure to bookmark www.mhallco.com and visit us often!
Thank you for checking back with us, we'll be back to normal really soon! We'll be back in a couple days! Thanks!

Color and Scent Therapy, what is it?
Color Therapy, as defined by www.dictionary.com; A system of alternative medicine in which colors and their energy frequencies are used to correct psychological or physical imbalances. Color is simply a form of visible light, made up of electromagnetic energy. So in other words, Color Therapy is using the powerful effects of color to ease stress or tension, wash away the blues, or to see the world in a whole new light.
We here at the Lab have spent more than 15 years formulating our all natural skin care products with Color Therapy and Aromatherapy as major influences on our business. With the help of many trained professionals, we have developed our highly popular Color/Scent Therapy Line. These products have all been formulated with specifically chosen essential oils, blended together for their ability to ‘mimic’ the same electromagnetic waves that the visual color creates.
For example, visually seeing the color Yellow triggers certain feelings and emotions that are known to clear our minds, develop new skills, and making clear decisions. The scent from our Yellow Atomizers, or Fairy Dust creates those same feelings and emotions, resulting in the same effects as seeing the color visually.
Each individual essence was chosen for its particular effect on the senses. In combination, they interact to enliven and clarify the primary levels of human nature be it physical, emotional and and/or mental. Each blend relates to a specific consciousness or way of seeing and as such, corresponds to the qualities inherent in a certain color – so we call them each by a color name to indicate their effect on the senses and your mood.
Although there are many colors that affect a wide variety of feelings and emotions, the primary colors reflected in the rainbow carry their own unique healing properties so we have chosen to focus on those colors; Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. We will detail each color in further blogs, as well as get into more detail as to how exactly Color and Scent Therapy works.
In closing, I ask for my readers to answer a couple questions.
What is your favorite color? Do you know why that's your favorite color?
Be sure to follow our Blog as we will be following up, explaining in much more detail the power of Color/Scent Therapy, and the benefits/effects of each color! Thanks for reading, see you soon!

Aromatherapy - A Short Introduction
I’m sure most everyone has heard of aromatherapy, and are at least somewhat familiar with what it is and what it means right? We have all the seen the aromatherapy candles, the potpourri, the essential oils, and many other concoctions people have come up with over the years. No matter how different the method of using it, the idea is still the same. Use the powerful properties of scents and smells in order to treat, heal and sometimes even cure certain conditions and illnesses. As amazing as that sounds, with the proper treatment methods, aromatherapy can do just that and much more!
Aromatherapy is actually a generic term that refers to many different methods of using plant matter and essential oils together to positively change a person’s health or mood, or simply create a more positive quality of life. In general, aromatherapy is a widely used form of therapy that is meant to help reduce stress in someone’s life or help them relax by using certain plant oils and essential oils together to create psychological and physical sensations.
Don’t be fooled by companies to try to sell their pleasant smelling products as aromatherapy products. Due to aromatherapy being so popular, many companies will say false statements, claiming their products are for aromatherapy just to increase sales. The FCC requires companies to identify each ingredient within their products, so make sure you check them to ensure they are made with only all natural ingredients.
Within those ingredients, a very important one that you will see is at least one kind of essential oil. Many different essential oils can be used in aromatherapy, and with so much choice it may be hard to choose which one will be best for you. If you are thinking about getting into aromatherapy, I highly suggest you research each essential oil to determine which you should use. A general rule is to choose one that feels natural to you… If you like the way a certain oil makes you feel, or a certain scent that oil gives off, you will enjoy it more when using it for aromatherapy.
An essential oil is generally a liquid that has been derived from a plant and distilled down to often fit in a very small bottle. Due to the high concentration of these essential oils, they are believed to contain the true essence of the plant or tree from which the oils were obtained. Some major essential oils that may sound familiar include; rose, lavender, thyme, basil, ginger, and peppermint. Please remember that you should never use essential oils directly on the skin! Many companies will sell diluted oils, but please make sure that they are in fact diluted as using undiluted oils on your skin can lead to rashes, and cause severe skin irritations.
This is just a very short introduction of aromatherapy and essential oils. If you are considering doing your own aromatherapy at home, or using essential oils in any way, I highly suggest further research. There are many fantastic sites on the internet that can help you along the way, to ensure you are not only safe, but also effective. Thanks for your time!

Peppermint... More Than A Scent?
Peppermint... For most people, peppermint reminds them of the holidays with the peppermint candy canes hanging from the Christmas tree, for others it reminds them of the little after dinner mints offered at 95% of all restaurants. Whatever the relation, peppermint is arguably one of the most popular scents and flavors ever and I honestly think you would have a hard time finding someone who disliked peppermint. But is peppermint more than a just scent and/or flavor?
Native to Europe, though found most anywhere today, peppermint is a cross between spearmint and watermint and has been used throughout the ages, often being referred to as the world's oldest medicine. With numerous nutrients and minerals such as iron, calcium, copper, manganese, magnesium, folate and potassium, peppermint has been used for a wide variety of symptoms such as severe indigestion, nausea, headaches, respiratory problems, even lowering a rising fever. The thorough research of peppermint and peppermint oil has proven its numerous health benefits and as a result, it is quite easy to find peppermint oil in the form of capsules and tablets.
Thanks for reading, these will eventually get bigger and better! Best of wishes!

New to blogging
Well I've never really blogged much, but I figured I may as well start some time! I don't know exactly what kind of stuff I'm going to blog about, but stick around and see what we got!
We have been working heavily on the site adding all sorts of new features. Added ingredients, as well as the benefits of most the ingredients, we added the GVRewards system that rewards you for purchasing product, we've introduced our flat rate shipping system in order to save you more money, along with a whole slew of slight website changes!
Even with doing all that, we still have more to come! We'll be updating all the products with higher quality and detailed pictures that will show off our brand new label design, we have some new bottles for our Shampoo and Finishing Rinse that will make them much easier to handle, and we even have some new products planned!
We have a lot planned so keep an eye out on here as well as our Facebook page for all the updates. Along with the updates we'll be offering exclusive promotions and discounts! Thanks for visiting!
